The building of the Catering Kitchen was built in the proximity of Terminal 2 at Budapest Ferihegy Airport, concurrently with the latter, according to drawings by UVATERV. Due to the increase in traffic the capacity of the facility had to be doubled, consequently also the area of the building was increased twice as much and, with reconstruction of the existing part, the entire kitchen process was converted under the conditions of working continuously, 24 hours a day.
The Design for Approval concerning the facility was drawn up by BUVÁTI Ltd., while the final detail drawings of all of the original building and extension, rebuilding were prepared by UVATERV Ltd.
It was one of the features of both of design and building work that implementation was carried out at about six stages whereby continuous provision of the aircraft was ensured even during reconstruction.
The catering building - like all of other airport facilities - is equipped with a full building management system, structured telecommunication network.
